Screenprints
My first experience of Screen Printing was as a very small child watching in wonder as my Mother cut strange shapes out of thin paper. She then took me into the local art cottage where I watched the ladies use the thin paper as a stencil and screen print fabulous bright swirling 70's designs onto fabric. This fabric later appeared to my complete alarm as curtains hanging everywhere. I remember the strong smell of the textile ink and the strange screen and squeegee set up very well. Looking back I think this had me entranced even as a 5 year old. I have since been Screen Printing part time for many years and I am only now able to practise full time.
